May 2008

Well the results are in for Straight 8 and we didn't make the cut for Cannes, but we are included in the 'Arty' section coming to a venue in London soon. mmmmm kind of smacks of 'everyone gets a prize sort of selection, but hey, me and Nick still havn't seen the film so for all we know it might be complete bollocks!!!!! we shall see...

Fliming at Bermondsey Market continues. hope to be able to post up more images and clips soon.

February 2008

working with a film-making partner Nick D, we have risen to the Straight 8 challenge to film a 3 minute film , in camera, no external editing and no peeking at it until the first public showing. gulp. anyhoo, the film is called 'Chess Club' and is a kind of slapstick 'homage' to The Seventh Seal'. Ingmar forgive us... - great bunch of collaborators though - Vincent, Oliver, Ed, and Tom working on the soundtrack..

Pinky's Big Send-off - we gave it our best shot but it wasn't meant to be.. a comedy i had been working on for a while about a dead guinea pig just wouldn't fly, despite the valiant efforts of all concerned. I guess there is a lesson there, if the time is right it will happen, but don't try and resurrect something that deep down you know it's time has come and gone...
