End of the Pier

End of the Pier is a sketchbook film, edited together from footage collected over the past couple of years. I really enjoyed linking such disparate segments along with some textural close-ups. A day trip to Southend, a chess game, a park, overlaping fragments of sound and dialogue, plus some Super 8 footage I have been meaning to use for years. Don't ask me to tell you what it all means, since that's not the point. Much like RM159 it is the collision of images and textures that excites me.

p.s - the disused Railway Bridge that the little boy plays on is in Oxford and is featured in the painting: Bridge.
