Market

The Caledonian Market was relocated from Isington North London to Bermondsey South London after the Second World War. Re-named New Caledonian Market it was opened in May 1949 by the renowned actress Valerie Hobson.

I have been incredibly fortunate to be able to gain permission from Southwark Library to reproduce certain archive images within this film - i have chosen a selection below..
